Katharina lives in the busy Italian city of Padua, a centre of the arts She is furious at her father, jealous of her sister and generally in a bad temper with the whole world. Moorover, she hates men, to the point of violence in fact. Petruchio is a vigorous young man who arrives in town with one thought in his head; to marry a rich wife. Katharina's farther is rich, yes, he'll "wive it wealthily in Padua." Or not? The resulting 'battle of the sexes' propels this witty, often hilarious take across that timeless, univerceal mainefield we call 'the road to love .' Witness the fall-out "He behaves like a madman, throwing wine, kissing the new-made bride and recives such a clamorous smack."

The performances take place outdoors within the environs of some outstanding venues (see Calendar). Bring along a picnic, a bottle or two of something pleasing and a sit-upon (portable chair or blanket). Dress to suit yourself and / or the weather. The production of a candelabra earns a complimentary program complete with scene-by-scene synopsis. Gates open at noon (matinee) and 5:00 p.m. (evening) should you wish to picnic in the grounds before performance. Chris and Serenna will provide music for about half an hour before performance commences. Running time is approximately two hours twenty minutes, including a fifteen minute interval. Many venues provide in-house refreshments for purchase before and during performance. Check with the venue or box-office before arrival. Disabled access is guaranteed at all venues. Car-parking facilities vary but are spacious at most.

SYNOPSIS: RESERECTION is a play with a cast of three adults, two male and one female, set in a medical consultant's office surgery in present-day London. The running time is estimated at 100 minutes over two acts. An ex-British Army 'squaddie', ROGER ROUND is now a late thirty-something divorcee who runs a sandwich-bar behind the Cenotaph. He is also suffering from chronic impotence and seeks help of private medical consultant DR CHANCEY, a rue to make Leslie Philips seem like Alan Titchmarsh. CHANCEY'S methodology is wildly unorthodox, perhaps absurd but he gets results. The assistance and panache of NURSE BRAIN seems invaluable. CHANCEY discovers quickly that ROUND is wary of the 'panoptic eye of the State'. Could his paranoia, this fear of being observed, be the source of ROUND'S problems? Is there a connection between it and ROUND'S unconditional discharge from the British Army following a tour of duty in Northern Ireland?. It seems answers to these questions must be found if CHANCEY is to fulfill a promise to restore his patient to 'efficiency' before Christmas, the time when ROUND intends to meet in person a new girlfriend with whom he corresponds on the Internet 'Love Line’ After failed attempts with hypnosis, 'the Trampoline' and exorcism, in Act Two, desperation and against NURSE BRAIN'S better judgment, CHANCEY decides upon activating 'the Manoeuvres ', a dark, drug-fuelled exploration into ROUND'S past with the use of 'War Games'! The gloves are off, someone could die and does.
