Our highly- acclaimed Shakespeare Summer tours of the North West of England . continue next June-July 2009 with the Romantic Comedy THE MERCHANT OF VENICE. The itinerary to date is listed in EVENTS.
This will be our 7th season.
Our Summer 2008 production of THE TAMING OF THE SHREW received our best reviews to date ( see REVIEWS) and record audiences after 6 Summers of touring. Thank you to those who supported our work so strongly.

LOHREY AND BECK return
A full cast will be announced in the Spring of 2009 when we expect to confirm the return of our established ensemble. An opportunity to meet many of them will be presented at our Annual Launch Night at Worden Arts Centre (Leyland) on Thursday April 2nd.
However, we can confirm that the iconic role of the Jew of Venice, SHYLOCK will be taken by the excellent DAVID REX returning for a 6th successive season.
“ This is one of the great Shakespearean roles” says David. “Summer 2009 cannot come round fast enough for me”.
Rigid Lohrey and David Beck who were outstanding as Katherine and Petruchio in last Summer’s THE TAMING OF THE SHREW, return as husband and wife BASSANIO and PORTIA.(See CAST for full biographies.)
MUSICIANS.
After three spectacular tours with us CHRIS GILL and SERENNA WAGNER are unable to join our 2009 tour due to heavy commitments next year. We shall miss them dearly and hope an opportunity to work together will present itself beyond 2009.
